Shenanigans
Lou Holtz never tired of telling the story
of how Notre Dame came to be established in the Indiana wilderness. Father
Sorin and his band of intrepid priests and brothers fought the cold and
heavy snows of an especially harsh winter on their way to establish the
university in San Diego, California. When the storm halted their progress,
Father Sorin declared that they would stop at the lakes near South Bend
and continue their journey when the weather improved.
